Chemical Engineering at the University of Hull

The challenge

While employed by the University of Hull as Web Editor for the Faculty of Science, Sophie Ottaway (Account Manager) was asked to design a new website within the Department of Engineering to showcase the University's new chemical engineering discipline.

The solution

Working with the University's in-house templates and visual identity, Sophie carried out the following:

• Sourced content from programme leaders and academics.
• Repurposed technical course specifications into compelling copy to be used for online marketing purposes.
• Sourced and edited images from online stock libraries
• Gathered student and employer testimonials.
• Liaised with IChemE to include their branding and support for our new discipline.
• Trained users in maintaining website using Immediacy CMS.
