University of Hull corporate HTML email templates

While working as an employee at the University of Hull, Sophie Ottaway (Account Manager) was given a brief from the Public Relations team to create a set of very basic HTML email templates, based on the University's website design. It was imperative that the email template adhered to the corporate visual identity and worked perfectly in Outlook 2007 and Outlook 2010 - the two primary email clients used by University staff.

Due to firewall issues with advanced tracking software such as Campaign Monitor, the University required basic HTML email templates for internal communication purposes, as an interim approach. They asked Sophie to include a colour coded system to represent different types of message.

The following were delivered:

• Bulletin template (for staff weekly email).
• Leadership bulletin (for management email).
• Individual colour coded templates to represent types of communication.
• Coloured headers (.jpg files) for users to add into the email to represent certain types of message.
• Supporting documentation.
